Killer has struck again

Bear is also known as Killer. He has killed more critters in his pen than I have ever seen. Plus he has never had a scratch on him.

This past Saturday I went to walk him at 7:00a.m., because he has gotten into a routine of getting up during the week that early and just will not let me sleep in.

I noticed a pile of dirt beside his fence post. When I looked around he had a blue bird in his mouth (dirt and all). I screamed and jumped back. He dropped the bird and came near me. I hurried out of his pen to get a better look, because if I am inside he thinks I will get it and start running from me with the critter in his mouth. So I calmly went and got a scooper and was able to get the bird out without incident.

Bear occasionally gets his weekends and weekdays mixed up. But after one or two weekends he will get it back on schedule. Not this time!

Is It Going To Snow?

Lets hope so. This was the guess this morning....so lets wait and see!

As of 3:00pm this is all we have. :( I want more! Can't build a snowman with this little of snow.

Chris is in Cullman and sent me this picture. I believe it was one of the hardest hit counties.

We got off work at 3:00 due to the road conditions getting worse. When I got home I took care of Bear and then I made a little snowman. Bear loved playing in the big pile of snow I had removed from his tarp. He loves to chase snowballs, but then doesn't understand it when they hit the ground and break up.

Being An Only Child

If you have brothers or sisters, you probably will not understand my points on this.

I was BLESSED to be an only child. I say that because that is all I have known for 32 years. Yes I do have a half sister (same dad), but I only met her when I was around 12 or 13 (I think). She is about 11 years older than I and was always away at college. Then she got married and moved a lot with the military. She is a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister.

I do have cousins which I am close to and they have seemed like brothers and sisters to me. The kind that you can send home at the end of the day! We grew up doing just about everything together, so they seemed more like siblings than anything. I have tons of stories about our youth and even now that we have gotten older, that I could share.

I have never really wanted a brother or sister. I guess my cousins filled that void for me. Plus my best friend, Amy helped with the sister part.

Some of the pros of not having a sibling (my opinion):
   •Not having to share things
   •Having my own stuff (bedroom, bathroom)
   •Getting more attention from my parents
 
Some of the cons of not having a sibling (my opinion):
  •Not having a special person in your life that you call a brother or sister
  •Not learning to share too good :(
  •Not having that person that you can call and talk about mom and dad to.
  •Having a sibling stand up for you.

But by being an only child, I have gotten to do things that I probably would not have done if I had a sibling. I probably would have had to get a real job in college to pay for my car. (My parents paid for it while I was at JSU). I never would have been able to have all the clothes that I did. Go on that skiing trip to Colorado. Spend weeks during the summer with my cousins who lived out of town. Had that one-on-one fishing time with my dad.

So, you see, not having a sibling is not bad, it is just all I have known. I can not imagine what it would have been like if I did. Do you call me spoiled....that is up to you. If I am spoiled, which I believe I am (not going to lie), you can blame that on my grandfather. He ALWAYS made sure I had what I wanted. Love that man!

When we have children, do I want one or two...I say I want what ever the Lord has in His will for us to have. If it is one...then great. We can spoil it. If it is more....then great. I will be on meds! Just kidding.

Free Movie Previews

This past weekend HBO, EPIX, Cinemax and Showtime had a free movie weekend. I certainly took advantage of it by watching about eight movies from Thursday to Sunday.

•The Dilemma - It was good, but just took so long to get a point across.
•The Three Stooges - It was actually better than what I had heard.
•Unknown - I had watched this one before, but Chris wanted to watch it.
•Joyful Noise - Not as good as I thought.
•The Hunger Games - Had watched it with girl friends before.
•Breaking Dawn Part 1
•Speed 1 - Just parts of it.
•Crazy Stupid Love

It was a rainy weekend, so that made it perfect to stay in and watch movies. :) Just wished we had had some popcorn.

We still have a couple of movies that we recorded, so maybe we can watch them next weekend.

Roll Tide!

So of course Chris and I watched the BCS game. My mom keeps calling it the BSC game....I just agree her.
I kinda thought it would go the way it did. I mean you have a team that really has not played any strong teams and then you have Alabama. So....what did people think was going to happen?

Now we need t-shirts and trust me, my mom will be getting them soon!

I had told Chris over the weekend that I was cooking pizza and bread sticks, so I would not be tied up in the kitchen during game time. He gladly accepted! His work changed shift schedules so they could be off Monday night. I believe a lot of places around Alabama did the same.

I was browsing Amazon.com and found it. Chris would really think I was crazy if we had this. But it would be funny to put in the guest bathroom!

Sleepy?

Someone got to come inside since it was in the 20s last week.

He does great while he is inside. No potty mistakes or anything! Just gets restless around bed time. We actually had to go to bed at 8:45pm because he could not take staying up any longer. He got up at 1:30a.m., 4:20a.m., 6:00a.m. and finally at 6:30a.m.
