Beyond Scared Straight

Beyond Scared Straight is a great show. It comes on A&E on Thursday nights. Chris and I started watching it last year. The show is about kids getting in trouble (smoking, doing drugs, drinking alcohol, theft). These prisons allow them to come in and spend a day with the inmates. They wear the stripes or orange suits, eat lunch, visit death row and other areas of the prisons. Just really giving them a taste of what it is like on the inside.
Most of the kids start out being real cocky and end up crying! They give a follow up and the end of the show and most of the kids have changed or are at least trying too.
